Be True To Yourself
Full Name; Kitty Callahan
Nickname(s) Kit
Gender; Female
Age; 15
Face Claim; N/A
Your Past Is Catching Up With You
Personality; Kitty's a happy, bubbly, cheerful person. It's very hard to find her without a smile on her face of some sort. It takes a lot to get her sad or depressed - even coming here, away from everything she knows, can't do that. Sure, she's a little bit out of place here in London, but who isn't? A lot of people think she's just a stupid teenager, but she's smarter than most give her credit for. It's not all about fun and games with her. She's a bit of a geek, and makes no secret of it.
As for orientation, well, that's a bit of an unanswered question. Is she gay? Is she straight? Is she bi? Is she asexual? Nobody really knows...and she'd like to keep it that way. Labels, she hates 'em. Of course, after bad days, she usually gets less cheery and more weird and mystical, making her seem even crazier. Nobody can tell what she means in that state, sometimes not even her. She has a slight Australian accent.
Appearance; Kitty looks like your average teenaged human female of indeterminate origin, with slightly tanned skin, brown hair (with two Bangs of Ridiculous Size), green eyes, and a stature of about five foot four. She is, in the manner of Edward Elric, extremely sensitive about her height. She wears whatever she damn well feels like, and seems to have an inordinate fondness for shiny, dangly things, particularly opals.
She tends to wear a headband with cat ears and little gold bells on it, because she likes the jingly noise they make, and carries around a stuffed red panda. She becomes quite violent if you try to remove it, so it's in your best interests not to try.
History; As far back as she can remember, Kitty was shuffled from foster home to foster home, never knowing her real family. In several of the foster homes she went to, she was abused, often escaping with bruises, and sometimes escaping with worse. She was finally adopted by a Pentecostal American family who removed her from her native Australia when she was about seven, but the damage was done. She began to have screaming nightmares and talk in gibberish, so they took her to church as often as they could to try and heal her through faith.
She did not like that at all, having never been raised religious, and resented every moment she was forced to be in church. It wasn't helping her one bit, because she had always very much been a free thinker, and hated having values forced down her throat. She was punished by her foster parents when she tried to avoid going to church or her youth group. So she tried to make them happy, but couldn't in all good conscience continue lying to herself. After about a year, she told them straight out that she didn't want to keep going and doing all the religious stuff.
Well, they weren't happy about that, and when the Individuality Reform came around, her fosters took this last chance to try and make her fit in. The shot didn't take, and, disgusted, they washed their hands of her the first chance they got, sending her to Willowcreek and forgetting about her.
Presumed Diagnosis; Mild autism, compulsive tendencies
